Design Info:
This ongoing project, designed to appeal to both cross stitchers and crazy quilters, began in 2016 on Kitty and Me's blog. The Never Ending Sampler is a series of samplers that can be stitched together to create a continuous, long sampler. Regular updates provide several bands that can be downloaded for free, offering options for crazy quilt seam treatments, individual cross stitch samplers, or a full band sampler. Each section can be added to the Never Ending Sampler as they are completed and sewn together.
Stitchers are encouraged to select their own floss colors. Most rows can be worked in a single color, allowing creative freedom to use different colors for each row or a consistent single color throughout. When stitching as an individual band sampler, the stitched area for each panel measures approximately 6 inches wide x 18 inches long. For 14 count Aida or 28 count Evenweave (over 2 fabric threads), the recommended fabric size is 12 inches wide x 30 inches long.
